Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Cusco and City Tour

We will meet you at Cusco Airport and take you to your hotel. You will recognize our guide, who will carry a sign with your name and the AV Tour Operator logo. We will greet you at your hotel with a traditional Muña tea or coca leaf tea to help you adjust.

Around 8:30 AM, we will start the City Tour. We will visit key archaeological sites outside of Cusco, such as Saqsaywaman, Qenqo, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay.

 We will also explore the famous Qoricancha (Temple of the Sun) inside the city. A professional guide will provide fascinating insights into Inca history and culture. This tour will offer a comprehensive overview of Cusco’s rich heritage.

Day 2Sacred Valley Tour

We will pick you up from your hotel around 7:30 AM to explore the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Our first stop will be the Pisac ruins and its vibrant local market. We will continue our journey along the Vilcanota River, with breathtaking views of the valley’s fertile lands. Afterward, we will have an optional lunch in Urubamba, the heart of the Sacred Valley.

Next, we will visit the imposing Ollantaytambo fortress, a stunning example of Inca architecture. Ollantaytambo is one of the last surviving Inca towns. Still following its original urban layout and famous for its advanced hydraulic systems. We will return to Cusco in the evening and drop you off at your hotel.

Day 3Machu Picchu Tour

Early in the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the train station. From here, we will board a train heading to Aguas Calientes. Following a scenic route that combines nature and Inca history. You will pass by picturesque villages before arriving in Aguas Calientes, the gateway to Machu Picchu.

A professional guide will be waiting for us at the bus station in Aguas Calientes. We will board the bus that will take us up to the majestic Machu Picchu citadel.

 We will spend around 2.5 hours exploring this iconic site, visiting the main temples, plazas, and terraces. You will need to buy a separate ticket for Huayna Picchu since it’s not part of the tour. Where we will transfer you back to your hotel.

Day 4Departure from Cusco
